Jabe Pond, Hague NY September 1999
This was an interesting trip, to say the least. The fish-catching was horrible, with my 2 full days of fishing resulting in one 6" bullhead catfish! It was Labor Day, so the once quiet wilderness getaway was turned into a nightmare. We had drunks, little kids and shotguns all within 200 meters of our campsite. Needless to say, I won't be returning to Jabe on Labor Day.
This is Jabe Pond. It's quite beautiful, when you are not in danger of being shot...
Here is more artistic view of Jabe.
This is Jabe in the evening.
This is me in my float tube. The fishing was so horrible I hooked my fly onto a flipper so that I could at least get a photo of me looking like I had caught something.
