Beaverkill River, Roscoe NY  October 1999

The Beaverkill, one of fly-fishing's famous rivers is located about an hour north of me.  This was a day trip to see what it was all about.  We didn't catch anything that day, but neither did the many other fishermen on the river.   Local fly shops reported that they were taking size 22-26 black midges and the same size of olives.  I don't even think I can see a fly that small!

What a view!  Although the fish-catching wasn't that great, the Fishing was wonderful.
